Trust In The Lord ‘Steppingstones’

It seems so simple those words, ‘TRUST IN THE LORD’, and yet there are very chaotic times in our lives that we have trouble digesting even the thought of Trust.  When I look back over the 65 years of my life, I remember those difficult, chaotic, and ‘at the end of my rope’, trying times.  TRUST IN THE LORD became a steppingstone in each season.

The original LORD SHEPHERD AND HIS SHEEP SHED was produced as a cassette tape.  This was in 1984 prior […]

My Sheep Hear My Voice And They Follow Me

On February 24th, 1980, I was awakened early in the morning by the distinct, inspirational and motivational presence of the Holy Spirit.  It was the words and music to the song, Sheep Shed and the vision of a musical relaying the story of the Good Shepherd that was placed into my heart and mind.  Within two hours I had the first two songs, Sheep Shed and Shadow’s Song.  That day I spent many hours just playing them over and over again on my upright piano.

A few years ago, in the summer of 2014, I had an extraordinary adventure of traveling to Ethiopia through Dubai to visit my daughter, Heidi, and her family.  Chris and Heidi have been missionaries since 1999, spending two terms in Zambia, three years in Sudan, when the country split, then some time in Kenya.  They followed up with another term in Ethiopia.

We traveled to various places such as Axum where the Ark of the Covenant ‘supposedly is’ and to Lalibela where we explored 12 carved underground churches from the 12th century.  We were told not to touch […]

Another Sunday Morning

familyAnother Sunday morning, sitting in the front pew at my father’s church, The Gospel Lighthouse.  Mom had spent her week doing so many chores, that take us but minutes to do, but a long with the laundry, in an old roller washing machine, hanging them out to dry and then ironing, she also found the time to make me and my two sisters matching dresses at least once a year.  Well this was another Sunday of mom giving the flannel graph lesson to me and my sisters and the few children […]
